[Release Blitz + Review] Only Ever You by J.H. Croix

πŸ”₯ NEW RELEASE πŸ”₯
Only Ever You by JH Croix is LIVE!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

A slow burn, second chance romance that will set your heart and your e-reader on fire.
A swoony & emotional small town firefighter romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

Meet cute gone wrong… or Maybe just right?

Take One: I met Parker Reeves when I was seventeen. We shared a few unforgettable hours, but I told so many lies he doesn’t recognize me the next time we meet.

Take Two: A decade later, I’m the definition of a hot mess—soaking wet, stranded, and pulled from the ocean by none other than Parker. He’s all rugged hero, firefighter instincts on full blast, and the kind of grumpy that’s unfairly attractive.

The list of reasons why falling for him is a bad bet for me is longer than a country mile. My baggage could fill a firehouse, and his growl is almost as fierce as his protective streak. But when I’m with him? For the first time, I feel safe. And that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

*A full-length, standalone romance.

MY REVIEW.

3.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heartwarming but a Little Rushed

In this latest installment of the Wild Fire series, we focus on Parker and Luna, he’s a hotshot firefighter, and she’s a former Willow Brook resident finally back home after ten years. Similar to the previous books, it starts with a meet-cute and moves from there.

Luna and Parker have met before, and it takes a few chapters for him to remember her. When he finally does, I was slightly disappointed by how the past was handled. It was written as a bigger deal than I felt it would be after ten years. We’re getting close to our thirties, yet a shared kiss at seventeen is still front and center. Maybe I’m a bit jaded, but this stuck out to me throughout the book.

Both characters felt somewhat immature in their conversations and actions toward each other, and I didn’t feel the same connection to Luna and Parker that I’ve felt with some of the previous pairings in the series.

The book is well written, of course, and we get to catch up with other townsfolk and couples from previous books, which I’m a fan of. Only Ever You reads well as a standalone, though you get more depth and context if you read the series in order.
