This is Sutton and Gunner’s story. She was told from a young age that she was ugly and no one was going to want her. She moves forward after all the bullying only to settle for what she thinks is all she can have. But even that relationship didn’t work out. When she runs into Gunner again, she knows he has changed from the boy he used to be. After all he was her protector. These two both have demons, but they were friends before. Can they move forward and try and heal those demons? Could they find love with each other? Can she get her happily ever after?

Lani Lynn Vale has a new book out in her swoony Content Advisory series and y'all, this was a really really really good addition to this series. Ugly Duckling gives us Sutton and Gunner’s story and just wait until you meet these two. This beauty was captivating from the very start and kept me hooked until the very end. I adore Lani's quirky, fun writing and this book was absolutely no different. A must read.
I can definitely recommend this book and series y'all.
