This is Lace and Luther’s story. Luther is rude and abrasive and makes sure the women he is with don’t get any ideas about commitment. One and done he is all about. When he is on a mission and finds Lace beaten and very scared he goes into protector mode. He protects her and offers her a safe place. He also makes sure that everyone knows that she is protected. He acts a little crazy in the protection. She is keeping secrets that could hurt everything but when those secrets are revealed will he care or will it make him bring her into the fold even more?

Abbi Glines has another spicy book out in the Mississippi Smoke serie and y'all, just wait until you meet Lace and Luther. Hell of a Mess was really good- intense, emotional, full of drama, and super heated.. in all the ways. Abbi knows how to build worlds and characters that just leaves you wanting so. much. more. and these two did that and so much more. This was one you can't stop once you start.

I can definitely recommend this author and series y'all.
