I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, twists & turns, grief, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first.

This is Stephanie and Jackson’s story. Stephanie is in town to get some rest after she has health concerns. She is on leave from the FBI and just relaxing. But when Jackson stumbles onto her he is wondering if something more is going on. They are both dealing with issues in their lives. He is dealing with the loss of his leg and what limits he now has sometimes. She is dealing with what she wants out of life and how it will affect her career. When a friend of hers asks for a favor, she helps him out, but will it put her in more danger than she ever thought possible? When the danger is right in front of her will she see clearly, or will it break everything she thought she knew? Will she get the bad guys in the end, or will she just be all alone with the aftermath?

I recommend this book.
