Late to the Party…
This is the first book I’ve read in this series, and I have major FOMO. It seems like such a great group of friends, and I’m curious about how they all came together. For now, though, I’ll have to settle for Lachlan and Maggie’s story.
Maggie’s had it with after her ex. It’s been about a year, and she’s spent most of that time feeling like she wasn’t enough thanks to him. With her low self-esteem taking center stage, she can’t believe that she proposes a one-night, no-strings-attached arrangement to her handsome friend Lachlan—and even more surprised when he agrees. Despite her insecurities, Lachlan slowly chips away at them and helps her see the real Maggie. The blurb says it all: one night will turn into eighteen years for these two. While I expected Lachlan to be all in, it was a treat to see just how much he truly was.
I liked both Lachlan and Maggie from the start, though Maggie a bit less with her insecurities that popped up too often. It made her a little bit of a drag at times, especially since she didn’t always match Lachlan’s free-spirited nature. Lachlan, on the other hand, was a saint—not just in how he treated Maggie, but with everyone. He’s one of those rare, genuinely good guys.
The book is well-written and predictable, but the fun lies in the details. As I mentioned, I haven’t read the other books in the series, but Kaylee Ryan did a great job explaining who everyone was, so I never felt lost.

Can We Try? gives us Lachlan and Maggie's story and this is not one you want to miss. A one night stand and two pink lines are going to rock their worlds and change their course of life.. forever. Packed to the brims with heart, heat, swoon, and all the feels.. I devoured their story, not putting it down until the pages quit turning. So so good.
I can definitely recommend this book and series y'all.
