Oh, These Hockey Players...
I honestly don’t know how I missed the first two books in The Nest series, but I’m glad I didn’t miss Conor’s story in the third one! Talk about swoon-worthy!
The blurb pretty much sums up the story, but it was such a fun ride getting to know Conor and Eloise. They were both likable right from the start. I think the fact that they’re a bit older, close to their thirties, really worked in their favor. There was a certain maturity about them that made it easy to get into their story, despite the whole running-out-on-a-wedding thing and dealing with the classic "puck bunny" drama.
The writing is great—it's a bit on the heavier side at times, but still a fun read with all of Conor’s teammates and their girlfriends involved in the mix. It starts off slow-burn, but the chemistry heats up pretty quickly and doesn’t stop. Mer. (Conor = swoon-worthy.) This book can be read on its own, but I’m making a note to go back to catch up on the earlier books. I think teammate Tweety’s story is next, and I’m curious to see where his drama goes.
