Cute Read!

Piper Rayne pulled off Over My Brothers Dead Body Chase Andrews exactly how I figured they would, but what a fun read! This time around we get up close and personal with Chase, otherwise known as The Grump. Chase has been around in other Kingsmen books, however now we learn what caused that gruff exterior of his.

“I don’t generally like surprises of any kind, but it turns out that Twyla showing up in town was the best kind of surprise there is.”

Awww see, he’s not always a grouch! Twyla is the sister of Miles, a teammate of Chase’s. She’s in San Diego to get away from an ex and mend her broken heart. Ending up across the hall from Chase is a damn good start. Twyla has been around the team numerous times, so she knew Chase was a man of few words. What she didn’t know is how stinking charming he is.

I really liked both of these characters. They were honest and written with great personalities. There is a slight insta-love, something I am not a fan of, however with these two, they are able to pull it off. It was almost fun turning page after page to see how they were going to tell Miles they broke the “dude, not my sister” rule.

The book is well written and features all of the Kingsmen players and significant others. Over My Brothers Dead Body Chase Andrews can be read as a standalone,however is way more fun when read within the series.
