Quite the Long Road Ahead.
In Untying the Knot, Meghan Quinn gives her readers a look inside the phases of meeting, marriage and finally, what do we do now with Riot and Myla. They of course had one of the best meet cutes, but now there’s no cute to be found.
These two were written to be together,Riot and his “perfect” upbringing in a small town next to Snow Port (great callback) with his siblings, as compared to Myla, the only child Air Force brat. They are an opposites attract couple for sure, however her outgoing personality forcing him out of his shell was perfect. Myla knows she has intimacy/relationship issues, which is why she stays away from them. Riot is a different story, one that wears down her defenses after a while.

We travel from present to past with this couple learning their origin story and how they actually have a pretty good foundation. At times I felt Myla was a little rough on Riot, not giving him a chance or explaining what she was looking for. Riot was a total sweetheart. One of the good guys if you will and one that wasn't letting go without a fight. Lucky for us readers!
The book is well written in pure Meghan Quinn style. Full of funny text threads, friends and family for opinions and this time around it was very steamy. That was one thing Riot and Myla didn’t lose in their marriage, the heat. Untying the Knot reads as a standalone, with all kinds of callbacks to the other books in the series. Again, a big favorite of mine from this author. We also get a nice set up for Riot’s brother Banner and his new love interest. I’l be waiting for that story…
