[Release Blitz + Review] The Enforcer by Avery Keelan

THE ENFORCER by Avery Keelan is NOW LIVE!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

Violet
Everyone on campus knows how hulking hockey enforcer Nash Richards demolishes his opponents on the ice, but he demolished my heart freshman year.
Now, he's my brand-new athletic training client—and he wants me back.
I can't afford to lose focus during my senior year, but one moment of weakness has me falling for Nash all over again. Unfortunately, he has secrets, and now they're my secrets, too. Ones that could cost us both everything.
Fraternizing between the trainers and athletes is strictly forbidden, but my heart doesn't care about the rules.

Nash
Violet Walsh is the one that got away... and I'm the one who pushed her to leave.
It was the biggest mistake of my life, and I've regretted it ever since.
Working together is the second chance I never thought I'd get. The magnetism between us is impossible to deny—and one kiss is all it takes to get Violet to admit it too.
She says getting involved now could cost us both our careers, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
Two years ago, I lost the best thing that ever happened to me. And I'm not going to let it happen twice.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: THE ENFORCER is a steamy second chance college sports romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW.

3.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Liked it, Didn't Love it...

In The Enforcer (which sounds like some sort of mob book if you aren't a hockey fan), Avery Keelan gives her readers a long lost love on the ice story. We are introduced to Nash and Violet, high school sweethearts whose love didn't quite make it to college.

While I liked these characters individually, I wasn't sure about them as a couple and I really can't say why. They seem like two smart kids with a good head on thier shoulders. Violet's young heart was crushed by Nash and in a cruel twist of fate, she is now working side by side with him. Nash is a college-level hockey player looking to go pro and wasn't prepared for his ex to be one of the new physical training students for his team. Let the awkwardness begin.

Right off the bat, this book is lacking the angst I have come to enjoy. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for Avery Keelan to make these characters work for it. Instead, we have a slight blip and then it is pretty much business as usual for them. The angst substitute that I found was what Nash was hiding when it came to his family. He didn't have the most stellar upbringing, something that has followed his entire hockey career.

The book is well written and probably would have been fine without any sex scenes, as they seemed very out of place when they did arrive. While we focus on Violet and Nash, there is a gaggle of supporting characters that helped move the story along. The Enforcer reads as a standalone with a little epilogue to wrap things up.

MEET AVERY KEELAN.

Avery Keelan is a writer of hockey romance and adult contemporary romance, a gym addict, and a diehard coffee lover. Her stories contain swoon-worthy happily ever afters with lovable characters, snarky banter, and enough steam to fog up a mirror. Plus, of course, a hefty dose of drama and angst along the way.
