We Finally Meet Gavin
Although he was present in most of The Greene Family books, the spotlight finally shines on Gavin, the former Hollywood star. He seemed like a pretty good guy and this book sealed the deal for me.
The thing about the Greene family is that you don't just date one, you date them all. They are thick as thieves and that's one of the things I love about this series. We always get to see what everybody is up to. Posey and Gavin have met before, because he ran her off the road with his car. If that isn't the perfect first meeting I don't know what is.
Gavin was a bit of a shy guy, so that made it easy for Posey to bust his chops and boy did she! Posey didn't let her childhood crush on Gavin come into play at all, especially when he decides as the new guy in town, to run for mayor. Against her mother. Let the sparks fly!
The book is well written and I did like the chemistry between Gavin and Posey after a few chapters. There's nothing like a couple that doesn't take themselves too seriously and that is what we got with them. Along with the new love birds, we are kept involved with the other family members and even get thrown a bit of an emotional curve ball towards the end. Hopefully the mysterious Xavier is up next!
