She is helping her parents run the diner. The sparks are still as hot as ever between her and Maverick. Not everyone in the town is happy she is back so she is struggling. These two have to figure out how to let go of the past if they want something to work. But secrets keep getting in the way. Can they really have a future with them both being broken to begin with?
I recommend this book.

Anna Brooks is back with her emotional, angsty, steamy Ryder Ranch series and y'all whoa. What a book. I knew this was gonna be a doozy based on several things but still, this was all kinds of unexpected in a whole lot of ways and moments.
Missing Maverick is the third standalone in this series, giving us Cricket and Maverick's story and what an angsty, all in my heart little beauty this was. A second chance romance with a slow burn that'll pull you through the ups and the downs.. the whole book. I devoured this baby in one sitting and what a journey these two gave me.
This series has been absolutely fantastic and isn't talked about enough.
I totally recommend this book.
