π€ JERK IT by Lani Lynn Vale is OUT NOW!! π€
ABOUT THE BOOK.
Mavis always assumed that she would be in a hospital with the good drugs when her time came. Not in the middle of the road, with no one around but the damn town mechanic that hated her.
But there she was, having a rock star’s baby, with no one to rely on but the one that let it be known around every turn that she was a horrible person.
From the time that she met Murphy and became best friends with him at the age of eight, she knew he was destined for greatness.
But then her grandmother fired Murphy’s mom, forcing them to live on the streets, and making Murphy to realize that maybe they weren’t best friends after all.
Murphy loved Mavis.
At least, he had when he was younger, before she betrayed him.
From that moment forward, Murphy goes out of his way to stay the hell away from her, and always makes sure to never get too close. Even though everything inside of him screams to make contact.
When he moves back to town after being gone for five years, he tries his best to stay away.
But there she is at his CrossFit gym. Then having a baby on the side of the road. Oh, and breaking him a little more with each step she takes away.
Eventually, they find their way back to each other. The only problem is, by the time that Mavis makes her way back into his heart, it breaks. And not in a rhetorical way. In the ‘he only has days to live’ kind of way.

The story has laughs, pain, suspense, secrets, and heartbreak. Lani will break you first and put you back together.
Before reading this story you might want to read the below that are also in this series:
No Rep (Madd CrossFit #1)
This is Mavis and Murphy's story. These two have history. He believes all his problems are on her shoulders after all her grandmother fired his mother and forced them out on the street. But it’s years later and he runs into the reason he left. He loves Mavis but he also hates her. She loves him but when he treats her like crap, she tries to stay away from him. But he seems to be everywhere. When he needs help, he turns to her. There love runs deep and the pain they go through will tear your emotions up. Bring the tissues. You are going to need them. Can they have a future? When everything looks so bleak?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read. As with any book or series you pick up you get a glimpse of another set of characters in another series. All the books tie into each other with the characters overlapping.
I highly recommend this book or really let us be honest any book this author has written.

Lani Lynn Vale is back with the second standalone in her new, highly addicting, all hands on deck Madd CrossFit series and y'all, what a book she's given us.
Jerk It was all kinds of amazing, intense, and a bit unexpected at times but so worth it. Mavis and Murphy. Gahhhhh these two. Mavis and Murphy. They were all kinds of unforgettable in all the moments they had and their journey.. unputdownable and beautiful in all the ways. I all but devoured their emotional, all in your feels story and whew. My heart. My poor, poor heart.
This book was amazing y'all and I can't wait for the next LLV book.
I highly recommend this book.
