I was pulled right into this story. This is a standalone in the Happily Ever Alpha World brought to you by Aurora Rose Reynolds. The story has suspense, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Kelly and Trask’s story. Kelly is hiding out. She has tons of secrets. Some of those secrets could get her killed. Not that she has not been almost there already. Trask is king of the one-night stand. He lives for that no sense in building a relationship as he is a one and done type of man. That is until he meets Kelly then he wants to make all kinds of promises. Only problem is that she is keeping secrets and if they come out it is going to be the end of them. But while they are happily building a future her past comes back and opens up all her secrets. Is she going to run or is she going to stay and fight for what she wants? Can they even have a future after he finds out everything about her past?
I struggled with parts of this story. Maybe because I never liked Kelly from the last story, she was in. I didn’t really connect with her in this story as I should have. I kind of felt like she deserved to suffer more, I guess after all her sister suffered. She got off easy in everything and it made me struggle a little bit with the storyline. Could have just been me.
I recommend this book.

Well we have a new release in the Happily Ever Alpha World and Vera Quinn is the lucky author up this time. I'll be honest, I didn't really read this blurb when I agreed to read this book so color me surprised when I realized who we were getting this go round. Talk about a jaw dropper that I actually never saw coming. I applaud Vera for taking a character that seemed almost unredeemable in so many moments, only to humanize her more and actually make me feel for our new hero and heroine.
I don't want to spoil this for new readers and any seasoned readers of the Until series. Fans of Until Sage will be stunned by this book (I totally was!) and all kinds of curious.
This book and our hero, Trask. I really, really liked him. Something about him pulled me in instantly like our heroine and whoa. What a guy he was, especially in the moments he needed to be the most.
I'm a huge, huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds (she's a top two for me) and I've been a follower of this world since the beginning. It's definitely a great way to revisit secondary characters left behind and meet new authors. Vera was new to me at the start of this new release and I'll be sure to check out her backlist in the near future.
I can recommend this book.
