[Release Blitz + Review] My Almost Ex by Piper Rayne

MY ALMOST EX by Piper Rayne is LIVE!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.

Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.

We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.

Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.

She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.

MY REVIEW.

5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Back to Sunrise Bay we go!

Piper Rayne hit it out of the park for me with My Beautiful Neighbor and once again with My Almost Ex. There is something about this big, gregarious Greene family that I just love. As with book one, we are focused on our main characters, but everybody pretty much has thier say.

We met Adam in book one and know he's nursing a broken heart from that bitch of a wife of his walking out on him. As high school sweethearts, he thought he knew everything about Lucy... apparently not. Well, now she's back. She has no idea what she did to him and can't answer the one question Adam wants answered...why'd she leave?

Lucy may not remember much, however she does know two things, she loves Adam Green and she loves Sunrise Bay. So when she approaches Adam in his brother's bar, she's taken aback when she finds out that her and Adam aren't together anymore.

While the amnesia storyline can go all sorts of wrong, I think Piper Rayne did a nice job with it. Lucy wasn't completely in the dark, she could piece enough memories together to know she belonged in Sunrise Bay and with Adam. What kept the pages turning fast for me, was the reason she left. Most of the book shows Adam as a real keeper, even if her family isn't a fan of the Greene's, so I couldn't wait to see what in the heck happened to send her running.

The book is well written and it was great to see Lucy's metamorphosis through each chapter. Again, this is Adam's story, but all of the Greene family is present and giving Adam advice whether he wants it or not. Looks like Nikki the gossip is up next and her story is starting out juicy!
