Nothing Like a Couple of Hot Cowboys

Actually, a family of hot cowboys, but Sam and Tucker are who take center stage this time around at Ryker Farms. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, however it sure sounds like a whole lot of crazy going on at this farm!

Sam and Tucker have worked together on the Ryker family farm for years. It only took one semi-drunken night for them to realize they were both on the same page and two weeks together on a project to feel like they were meant for each other. Tucker was a ranch hand, a little lower on the ranch totem pole if you will, while Sam was the golden child of the family, a superstar bull rider on the cusp of making it big.

The two week thing bugged me right off the bat. These guys let two weeks dictate the next ten years of thier lives and I couldn't decide whether it was romantic or insane. After thier fling, Tucker and Sam parted ways, not by Sam's choice. He left with a chip on his shoulder to go make a name for himself in bull riding and never looked back.

"I'd known seeing Tucker again was going to be hard. I never imagined it would be impossible."

Well, now he's back, Tucker is still working on the farm and Sam's feelings are as strong as ever. I liked these guys and pictured Tucker older and wiser than Sam, even with Sam's return. Tucker knew what he did was going to hurt them both, but felt like he had no choice and the immature Sam at the time, didn't realize that. Now it's time to make things right.

"Tucker and I were in the past, with no road toward the future."

The book is well written, short and sweet. There's some angst, sexy and humor to help tell the story of Sam and Tucker. Along with them, we meet and get to know the whole Ryker family and a little about their pasts and like I said, it sounds pretty interesting.

KIM LORAINE was raised a Navy brat but spent most of her life growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A proper Washingtonian, she's addicted to coffee, doesn't let a little rain ruin her day, and thinks the sun is a gift from God. When not chasing her three little minions around, Kim spends her time writing, reading, and binge watching Doctor Who.
