DON’T KISS THE BRIDE by Carian Cole is NOW LIVE!!!
ABOUT DON'T KISS THE BRIDE.
I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and he was my knight in shining armor.
But more accurately, I was a girl with a lot of bad luck, and he was a guy with a lot of muscles and tattoos.
Jude “Lucky” Lucketti wasn’t just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero who seemed to be in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.
Those weren’t exactly my best moments, but they were his.
We became friends, and it didn’t matter that he was sixteen years older than me. We had a lot in common—like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars, and our aversion to relationships.
When he approached me with a crazy idea to help me out, I couldn’t say no.
The arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else.
It should’ve been easy, but it wasn’t.
Because here I am, eighteen years-old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.
We had just one rule—no kissing the bride.
But we broke that rule, and it sealed our fate forever.

Oh How I Miss Carian Cole's Characters!!
It's been a hot minute since I have read something from Carian Cole and there is one thing about this author, her books are worth the wait!! I'm more of a novella reader, gimme something under 300 pages and I am a happy camper, with the exception of this author and maybe two others. That said, Don't Kiss the Bride is everything I expected it to be and more.
As a fan of the age-gap, taboo romance and after Torn, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. While the age-gap genre can go all kinds of wrong, this lady knows how to do it right. We start from the beginning with her characters and slowly get to know them, where they came from and what made them who they are today. With Skylar, there was a lot to unpack. She is so young to have live through everything she has. I was proud of her for making a normal life for herself in any way she could. As a victim of circumstance, she was bound and determined not to be a victim her whole life.
Lucky was anything but. He hasn't had it the easiest either, but has definitely learned from his mistakes. He's established now, happy in his life, or at least he thought he was until he met Skylar. She's young, but strong-willed. That and the fact that she didn't give a crap what anybody thought about her, her clothes, or her car attracted him instantly. She was an old soul trapped in an eighteen year old.
While the blurb says it all, the beauty of these two is in the details. Getting to know each of them apart and then together was a treat. They along with anybody reading this book, knew it wasn't going to be easy, but defiantly interesting for sure.
The book is well written and the characters are to die for. There's tons of angst, sexy and anything else you can think of written in. There was also a book call back that had me cheering to myself, such a clever scene Carain Cole. Don't Kiss the Bride reads as a standalone with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.
