ABOUT QUIT YOUR PITCHIN' ➡
What’s wrong with my butt?
She means those words to be directed toward the woman beside her, not him. But he can’t stop himself
from answering. Not when her ass is the most magnificent thing he’s seen in his life.
Apparently, answering her with ‘not a damn thing’ wasn’t what she was expecting.
She likely wasn’t expecting the baseball she took to the face at his next at bat, either.
All it takes is one ill-fated foul ball, and George Hoffman, Lumberjacks center fielder, falls head over
heels in love with Wrigley Field—and yes, that is her real name.
From that point forward, George and Wrigley fall into a fast whirlwind love that ends with them eloping
to Vegas. And he has his potty mouth, titty bar owning, pain in the ass grandmother to thank for it.
Not that he’s complaining or anything.
Who wouldn’t want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of
the World Series?
The only problem is trying to convince her of that.
5 Stars from Renee!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first
Pitch Please (There's No Crying in Baseball #1)
This is Wrigley and George’s story. George and Wrigley met at a baseball game. She was not a fan of baseball. When he hit her in the face with a foul ball he tries to help her. He finds her sassy and sexy and he falls hard. They get to know one another, and she travels to games to spend time with him. After one drunken night in Vegas they are married. They decide to try and make it work. Things happen, and they fall apart and things are said in the heat of the moment that breaks them. Over the month the follow both of them are broken and things keep happening to break them more and more. Can these two finally figure out that they are the one for each other and rebuild their family? Or will one misunderstanding too much be the end of them?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book or really let’s be honest any book this author has written.
5 Stars from Brianna!
If you can believe it, the first book in this series was my cherry popping book for Lani. And just as my blog partner told me and from other people in the book community giving her praise, I immediately fell hard for her words, her flow, her charisma, and her swoony characters.
Quit Your Pitchin' is book two in the There's No Crying In Baseball series and I simply couldn't wait to dive on after we got snippets of George's story in book one.
A whirlwind romance with promises only to be shattered, broken. But sometimes life throws you another chance in the night complicated ways. Can they find their way back to each other through the drama, tragedy, and heartbreak?
I expected it to be fast paced. I expected it to be emotional. I expected it to be a whirlwind. I expected it to be epic. But what Lani wrote and what she delivered with this book was unexpected in a lot of ways but so welcome. She completely shattered me in every way possible in moments with this romance then pieced me back together, even better than before. Lani wrote a beautiful, intense, breathtaking, and completely unforgettable second chance with Wrigley and George's journey.
I'm not gonna give you any secrets and I'm not gonna spoil this experience but if you read book one then you have some ideas but really...you have no idea at all.
Grab this series and fall in love with baseball's hottest players.
I highly recommend this book.
