Amazon | B&N | iBooks | Kobo

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .

I’m not the kind of girl you forget.
I wish I was.
I wish I was normal.
That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…

Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.
For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.
But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.

Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.

And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.

My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.

5 Stars from Tiffany!

Excellent Spin off!

It took me a second to to remember Libby Borello as I was reading, but then Einstein's name comes up, then Dare and Connor and it all fell into place. Molly McAdams did a nice job with her Redemption series and the Rebel series is off to a great start.

"My world is born of shadows and kept hidden from view. Your world is in the spotlight and on display for everyone to see."

We've met Libby in previous books, however now it's her turn to shine and suffer as well. Poor girl. She's a mafia princess through and through, but is on the DL from those not in her inner circle, including Maxon James, the love of her life for the last ten years.

"The rock star who wrote our future in lyrics. The boy who vowed to be my forever. The man who promised me the world. I love him."

I was team Maxon from the first second I met him. Not a fan of the man-whore rock star, this guy was the total opposite and totally devoted to Libby. Granted, he's been touring with his band and him and Libby stupidly agreed to having thier "needs" taken care of, he still won my heart over quickly.

What a sticky situation these two find themselves in, much to her dismay. I liked that Libby's main goal was to protect Maxon, but didn't like that his heart was constantly getting crushed in a vice in the process. While Molly McAdams strings her readers along with Libby and Maxon angst in the beginning, the story goes to warp speed and the outcome is absolutely fantastic!

Lyric is well written from dual points of view with a nice epilogue. As I said, Dare and the gang are present, however you don't need to read the Redemption books, but should as they are great. Molly Mc Adams does a nice job at filling in details from the past so you don't feel lost in this series. Einstein is right at Libby's side in this book and it's her turn next!

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
