BLURB:

Andrew Donovan is the outrageous goofy guy that everyone loves. In any setting he’s in, he takes front stage and makes everyone laugh; from his ridiculously funny t-shirts, to his naughty jokes, to his shameless flirting with anything that walks, both men and women. But what you see on the outside can sometimes be deceiving. Andrew has a secret. A secret that’s slowly withering away the fun loving guy that everyone knows. A secret that even his closest friends know nothing about.

When he first sees Jase in a picture, he knows instantly that he’s found the one person who will be his forever. He’s just impatiently biding his time for him to get to Jaded Hollow. Andrew is torn. On one hand, he’s finally found the other half of his soul, while on the other hand, he’s slowly dying inside. Tragedy is on the horizon and there’s nothing he can do to stop it.

Jase Matthews comes to Jaded Hollow a dead man walking. He knows it’s only a matter of time before they find him. There is no way they’ll let him live. At his first sight of Andrew, he’s instantly drawn to him, but he refuses the connection, knowing his days are numbered. However, it’s not long before he realizes the pull Andrew has on him is something he can’t fight.

Can Andrew find the courage to reveal to his loved ones the secret he’s kept for years? Will Jase be the man to help him overcome the grief he feels inside? And what happens when Jase’s past catches up to him and threatens to take away the man Andrew’s waited forever to meet?

MY REVIEW:
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

4.5 Stars from Renee!

I was pulled right into this story M/M. The story flowed well and kept you interested. The story has pain, sadness, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Shatter Me (The Jaded #1)
Reclaim Me (The Jaded #2)

This is Andrew and Jase’s story.  Andrew is funny, lovable, and the towns flirt.  He flirts with both man and woman.  When he sees a picture of Jase he is smitten and falls for just the picture.  All the flirting is just a way to pass the time until he can meet and fall for the man.  When Jase finally comes to town he comes with a pile of demons.  He is drawn to Andrew but with what is coming for him he does not want to get involved.  They both have pretty big secrets they are keeping from everyone.  But secrets have a way of coming out.  Will Andrews friends understand why he kept his secret from them?  Will Jase’s secrets and demons that are after him change anything?  Or will the beginning that these two thought they might have never happen after the secrets are revealed?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

ABOUT ALEX:

Alex Grayson is the bestselling author of heart pounding, emotionally gripping contemporary romance including The Jaded Series, The Consumed Series, and two standalone novels. Her passion for books was reignited by a gift from her sister-in-law intended to distract Alex and help her pass the time while her husband was away for work. After spending several years as a devoted reader and blogger, Alex decided to write and independently publish her first novel in 2014 (an endeavor that took a little longer than expected). The rest, as they say, is history. Originally a southern girl, Alex now lives in Ohio with her husband, two children, two cats and dog. She loves the color blue, homemade lasagna, casually browsing real estate, and interacting with her readers.
