I was pulled right into this story. The story has grief, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first/
Sweet Sunshine (the Pembrooke series #1; a Wildflower spinoff)
Coming Full Circle (the Pembrooke series Book 2)
This is Lilly and Quinn‘s story. Quinn had it all until it was ripped away. Now he is walking through life with the guilt of losing everything. Lilly was alone and finds comfort with the town widow Quinn. What started out as comfort is now love on her side but how can you compete with a ghost? Quinn does not think he deserves to move on. Can he ever move on or was Lilly just a way to pass the time? Once time passes will he just move on to someone else?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Jessica Prince.... good Lord woman, you know how to to slay my heart and rip it apart completely then slowly put it back together... only in the best kinds of ways possible. You kill me with your words and I love you for it.
The Pembrooke series became a quick favorite of mine when I stumbled across Sweet Sunshine. That book is still one of my go-to rereads of all time. But this book? It's all about those feels.... and a whole lot of so much more.
A Broken Soul was a beautifully penned story full of heat and heart... with an intricate storyline that twisted me all up in knots. From the very beginning, this author pulled at my heartstrings and fiddled with my emotions... not stopping until those pages quit flipping. Quinn and Lilly stole a piece of my heart and marked my by the time their journey was over.
The way Quinn and Lilly were drawn to each other... that connection... sheesh it gives me chills just thinking about it right now. I loved their story... every piece of it was perfect, no matter how difficult. It wasn't easy at times for these two and love is crazy hard and scary, but in the end it is totally and completely worth it.
If you haven't started the Pembrooke series then honestly I'm not sure what you are doing with yourself. These books are so so good... deep, meaningful, sweet, steamy, intense, passionate, and emotional. Jump on the bandwagon and make sure to read Wildflower before starting these books.... wink wink.
I highly recommend this book and definitely this series.
