[Blog Tour + Giveaway] Distraction by Nicole Edwards

Title: Distraction
Series: Club Destiny
Author: Nicole Edwards
Genre: Adult, Erotic Romance
Published: January 31, 2017

Time doesn’t always heal a broken heart. Sometimes the only thing it does is fill the darkness with more shadows, more pain.

Dylan Thomas has spent the past decade living in the shadows, mourning the loss of his wife, his best friend, his very reason for breathing. He long ago accepted that he would never feel again, that he was damned to a world without light, without hope. That was the day the bottle won, and he gave himself over to the darkness.

Until the one night that rocked his brittle, crumbling world on its axis. She told him what they shared was simply a distraction, a way to forget for a little while. It would’ve been, except the tiny glimpse of how it feels to live again, to feel again, gives him the strength he needs to pull himself up by his boot straps. But sobriety comes one day at a time, and three years later may be three years too late.

5 Stars!

Distraction is the newest novel in the concluding Club Destiny series and definitely the BEST of this series. Packed with tons of heat, heart, passion, and emotions, Nicole Edwards takes her readers on a journey of two broken people who have loved and lost... and now find themselves at a crossroads in life... to accept love again or face the reality of being alone. Ultimately, they must decide is their time together worth more than just... a distraction?

The Club Destiny series was the very first series that introduced me to this author and I have been a loyal fan since, coming back for each new release, whether it is this series or another. Nicole Edwards is a TOP three favorite author of mine and books like this just prove why. Her books are scandalous, intense, passionate, sweet, suspenseful, and always promise the best happy endings known to the romance book world.

In this story, we delve back into this group of friends and family with Dylan's story. If you have been a fan of this series then you have followed him in the background, watching his struggle to live and move on from tragedy while fighting his demons daily. Now he is back to tell his story with one woman who is almost as broken as he is. Can they find redemption, healing, and a second chance at love in each other's arms?

This book is going to fiddle with your heart and play with your emotions. I laughed, cried, swooned, and fell head over heels in love. These two... and their journey were incredibly written and perfect executed. I fell hard and fast.. then found myself racing through the pages to get to their happy ending.

Nicole Edwards fans.... it was SO worth the wait!

I highly recommend this book.

This is Sarah and Dylan’s story. This book includes but is not limited to depression, alcoholism, and guilt. You experience all these things right alone with the characters. Since this deals with hard real life issues this book will make you feel. Your emotions will be all over the place. Be prepared to laugh and cry. You still get everything you expect from a Nicole Edwards book. You get chemistry, steam, passion, some naughty times, and a wonderful love story. As this book is deep in both series you should make it a point to read both series. You will recognize characters from the other series. You will also see that the bond between family and friends just gets stronger and stronger with each book in these series.

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and this author. Can’t wait for the next book she puts out.
