Author: LP Lovell
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: November 14, 2016

Book Blurb

0.5 in The Kiss of Death Series. Prequel novella to Kill Me.

At thirteen years old I was sold, doomed to become a sex slave.

Nicholai Ivanov, boss of the Russian Bratva, gave me the ultimate gift. He saved me from a fate worse than death. He promised to make me strong, because only the strong survive, and the weak die, forgotten and inconsequential.

I now live in a world of blood and violence, where humanity itself is a weakness. My life is not a battle of bad and good, but bad and worse. This is kill or be killed, survival of the fittest.

Make me or break me?

My Review

5 Stars!

Excellent Start to the Series!

For once I am reading a series in the right order, starting with the prequel. If Make Me doesn't make you want to pick up the next book, I don't know what will. I can't write this fast enough to move on to Kill Me and see what happens with young Una.

Little girl lost is the phrase that comes to mind when thinking of Una. Snatched from an orphanage and thrown into a life she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy. Only the strong survive and the one man she thinks she can trust, only wants to hone her into the perfect killing machine.

"I've become the circus freak, more animal than human. Feral. Wild. That's what happens when you're stripped of your fundamental morals and programmed to become a monster."

Una is strong. I loved how she feared it, yet grew to be better everyday. Having no choice in the matter will do that to a person I suppose. The book is well written, just a few pages, however left a huge impact on me.
