Orphaned and raised by her older sister Zandra, Jasmine Tremaine was taught to never trust anyone but herself. Longing to start a life of her own, free from Zandra's controlling nature, Jasmine returns to their parents' home town and finds herself rescued by Draven: the first man to make her feel safe. She soon finds out though that he owns a a dungeon - a sex club - and immediately worries that he is the exact kind of man her sister warned her not to trust, and certainly never to fall in love with. Draven Rowan is a Master without a submissive, and sees Jasmine as a caged animal desperate for escape. But will she be able to let go and take a chance on love and happiness? Could she trust the Dom in him to love and protect her? Or will she continue to struggle with her sister's trust issues?

As she sat down, Patience ribbed her with her elbow. “So what’s going on with my cuz and you? Anything that should concern me?”
“I don’t know. We will have to see how the night progresses.”
The girls at the table all snorted. Mandy, Jeannie, and Autumn were sitting across from them, but Jasmine didn’t pay attention to the conversation until she heard Draven’s name.
“Draven is what romance novels are written about,” Mandy said, interrupting her concentration on the man who caught her attention.
“Yes, he is, but he is not taking on new subs. And if he was in a book, I wouldn’t have time to read it,” Jeannie said. “My two jobs take all my time away from life’s little pleasures.”
“Do you read on Kindle, perhaps?” Autumn asked with a slight slur in her voice and a twinkle in her eye.
“I read on my Kindle or my phone. Hell, sometimes I even read paperback, if I am lucky,” Jeannie answered, looking at Autumn curiously.
“Well, it sounds like she does it all,” Jasmine added, the alcohol burning through her veins.
They all laughed at the innocent statement, knowing that Jeannie did that all the time. No need to make a big deal of it and make the newbie uncomfortable for making a really funny pun.
“Well, your Kindle most likely has a text to speech feature,” Autumn slurred again. “It may take a bit of getting used to, but you can flip that sucker on while you drive, cook, clean, get ready in the a.m…”
“You know, it might. I’ve honestly never looked,” Jeannie remarked, then sat to think for a second. “Shut the fuck up! You’re saying it will read to me? Holy hell...just gotta make sure no nosy ears are around.”
“Yeah, I’ve done that once on accident,” Jasmine piped in. “I use it when I’m behind in my reading for school, and when I have a couple of good books on there. But working at the clinic it makes it real hard to get any reading done.”
“You guys are so funny to listen to,” Mandy laughed. “Books are the best, but you all need some men to keep you occupied.”
“Oh, you are missing out, darling,” Jasmine purred, thinking of some the books she had read.
“Ya know what, I’m looking forward to the dreams I’ll have when I fall asleep with the books playing in my ears.” Pure lust laced Jeannie’s voice. “Oh yeah.”
All the women at the table laughed at Jeannie’s dramatics. She did have plenty to keep her busy: she was the club nurse and Domme of every sub’s wildest dreams, plus she had one dreamy husband who let her get away with it all.
“Sleep on a Shamwow,” Mandy spit, laughing so hard it was barely understandable.
Jasmine nearly spit out the drink she just sipped. The women were laughing so hard they didn’t even notice when Draven sneaked up behind them and listened in on their conversation. But Jasmine immediately felt his presence.
“Ha, ha. Thought I stopped needing a waterproof mattress pad when I was a baby,” Jeannie said, laughing so hard she had tears spilling out her eyes.
Jasmine’s stomach hurt from laughing so hard, these ladies were hilarious.
“Well, maybe just some Depends to contain the seepage.” Mandy shot again at Jeannie.
“Ugh...I can’t believe you just said seepage,” Jeannie said, halfway between a laugh and a cringe.
Turning around, slightly embarrassed that Draven heard their conversation but not really caring, Jasmine could see the amusement shining in his eyes.
“Are you ladies having fun?” he asked, looking directly at her. She felt so self-conscious all of the sudden, and reached for her drink. “Is there anything I can get you?” he offered.
